 Amazon Kinesis


Amazon Kinesis is a managed streaming data service from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The service enables the collection, processing and analysis of real-time streaming data from various sources, including applications, operating systems, sensors, websites and social media platforms.

Amazon Kinesis offers three different services: Kinesis Data Streams, Kinesis Data Firehose and Kinesis Data Analytics.

  1. Kinesis Data Streams: A service for real-time processing of data streams collected from different sources. Kinesis Data Streams enables real-time processing of streaming data with high scalability and low latency. The service supports the creation of applications that can analyze and respond to data in real time.
  2. Kinesis Data Firehose: A service for capturing and loading streaming data into Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift or other supported destinations. With Kinesis Data Firehose, you can transform and load streaming data in real time without the need for your own data processing infrastructure.
  3. Kinesis Data Analytics: A managed service for processing streaming data in real time. Kinesis Data Analytics provides a user-friendly interface for processing streaming data with SQL queries without the need for its own infrastructure for data processing.
