Amazon S3 Transfer Acceleration is a feature of Amazon S3 that speeds up the upload and download of data to S3 buckets. Especially over long distances. It leverages the Amazon Cloudfront network to transfer data through geographically distributed edge locations, accelerating the delivery to the target S3 bucket.
S3 Transfer Acceleration is ideal for transferring large files or for users far from the AWS region endpoint. Enabling Transfer Acceleration is simple, as it only requires creating an accelerated URL for the bucket - without the need for changes to the existing S3 infrastructure.
