Google BreakPad is an open-source library also developed for crash reporting. It creates minidumps that capture the state of the program at the time of a crash. These dumps include essential debugging information such as stack traces and register values.
BreakPad supports multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. The dumps are stored locally and can be processed for further analysis. BreakPad provides the minidump_stackwalk tool for analyzing the minidumps. It is primarily used in C++ applications but can be integrated into other programming languages through wrappers.
